For referral partners
Know an owner? Introduce us.
If you can get us in contact with the decision maker of an established company, you can be a referral partner. When we're paid for that company, so are you. Free to join, one level, terms in writing.
The terms, in writing.
- When we license the company's data
- You get half of Summit's net fee on that company's deals. Net fee is our fee minus our documented costs of collecting and preparing that company's data.
- When we refer the company to another program
- You get 30% of what that program pays Summit for the company. Summit keeps 70%.
- Cap
- The most you can earn on one company is $500,000. That's a limit, not a likely amount: no referral has paid out yet, and many introductions never lead to a sale.
- How long it lasts
- Every deal for that company signed within 24 months of the day it first signs with us.
- When you're paid
- Within 30 days after Summit receives each payment, with a statement that shows the math. No sale, no payment.
- Getting credit
- Register the company first. The time stamp decides who was first. We answer in writing within 2 business days, and the company counts if it signs within 12 months of your registration.
How it works.
- 01
Sign up
Sign in with Google and tell us who you know. You get a personal link and code.
- 02
Sign the referral agreement
We send it to you to e-sign. It's free.
- 03
Get the OK
Ask the decision maker if it's OK to share their contact with us, and tell them you're paid for the introduction.
- 04
Register the company
In your portal: the company, the decision maker's name and contact, and how you know them.
- 05
We take it from there
We call the owner, explain the program and handle the deal. You see where it stands any time. A W-9 comes before your first payment.
Talk to us first.
Book a 15 minute call with Nick or Kai before you sign up. One question first.
What we promise you.
- One level
- You're paid for companies you introduce, never for signing up other partners.
- No fee to join
- It costs nothing, now or later.
- Disclosed to the owner
- The owner sees your fee in their agreement before anything is paid. It comes out of our share, not theirs.
- Independent, not a job
- You're an independent contractor. No quotas and no hours.
- No promises we can't keep
- We can't promise any company will sign or any sale will close, so we don't promise you an amount.
Questions partners ask.
Who counts as a referral partner?
Anyone who gets us in contact with the decision maker: an email, text, call or meeting where they agree to talk with us.
What makes a good introduction?
The owner or CEO of a US company with 3 or more years of company email. Bigger companies have more to license, and smaller ones are welcome too. Tell us the industry. If it's one we can't take, we'll say so on the call.
Do I have to sell anything?
No. You make the introduction. We explain the program, answer questions and handle the agreement.
What if I work for or advise the company?
Tell us before the introduction so we can disclose it to the owner. Never accept anything from the owner for the referral.
Can I post about it?
Yes, using the posts we give you, and every post says you're a paid referral partner. No dollar amounts or income claims.
What do I see?
Each company you registered and where it stands: registered, confirmed, signed, paid. When a payment is due, a statement with the math. Never the owner's agreement, data or buyer names.
Can an owner name their child as the referral partner?
Yes. If they're under 18, a parent or guardian signs the agreement with them and holds the account, and fees go to a custodian for them.
